Hadith 14336

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we participated in jihad with the army of Khabt, whose commander was Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah. On the way, the severity of hunger troubled us greatly. Meanwhile, the sea threw out for us such a large fish that we had never seen a fish so big before; it was called ambergris (amber). We kept eating from it for half a month. Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah took one of its bones and fixed it in the ground, and even a rider could easily pass underneath it.
