It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the construction of the Ka'bah began, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) started carrying stones. Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "O nephew! Take off your waistcloth and place it on your shoulder so that your shoulder does not get injured by the stones." When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to do so, he fell unconscious and collapsed. After that day, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was never seen with his body uncovered by clothes.
