Hadith 14326

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَكَّائِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَيُّمَا قَوْمٍ كَانَتْ بَيْنَهُمْ رِبَاعَةٌ أَوْ دَارٌ ، فَأَرَادَ أَحَدُهُمْ أَنْ يَبِيعَ نَصِيبَهُ ، فَلْيَعْرِضْهُ عَلَى شُرَكَائِهِ ، فَإِنْ أَخَذُوهُ فَهُمْ أَحَقُّ بِهِ بِالثَّمَنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: If any one of you has land or a garden and wants to sell his share, he should not sell it to anyone else without first offering it to his partner. If the partner buys it, then in exchange for the price, he has more right to it.
