Hadith 14313

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا ، قَالَ : كُنَّا يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ أَلْفًا وَأَرْبَعَ مِئَةٍ ، فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنْتُمْ الْيَوْمَ خَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the Battle of Hudaybiyyah, our number was fourteen hundred souls. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: "Today, you are better than all the people on the face of the earth."
