Hadith 14309

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، سَمِعَ جَابِرًا دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَصَلَّيْتَ ؟ " قَالَ : لَا قَالَ : " صَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering a sermon when a man came and sat down. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Have you prayed?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to pray two rak'ahs.
