Hadith 14274

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَجْلَحُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ ، فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ حَتَّى أَتَى سَرِفَ ، وَهِيَ تِسْعَةُ أَمْيَالٍ مِنْ مَكَّةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once set out from Makkah at sunset, but performed the prayer upon reaching the place "Sarif," which is located nine miles from Makkah.
