Hadith 14271

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَحْيَا أَرْضًا مَيْتَةً ، فَلَهُ مِنْهَا يَعْنِي أَجْرًا وَمَا أَكَلَتْ الْعَوَافِي مِنْهَا ، فَهُوَ لَهُ صَدَقَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever revives barren, deserted land, he will receive its reward, and for every animal that eats from it, he will receive the reward of charity for all of them."
