Hadith 14267

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُنْتَبَذُ لَهُ فِي سِقَاءٍ ، فَإِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ سِقَاءٌ ، نُبِذَ لَهُ فِي تَوْرٍ مِنْ بِرَامٍ " . (حديث موقوف) (حديث مرفوع) ، قَالَ : " وَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الدُّبَّاءِ ، وَالنَّقِيرِ ، وَالْجَرِّ ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Nabidh used to be prepared for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a waterskin, and if there was no waterskin, then it would be prepared in a stone pot. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade (the use of) all vessels made of Dubba’, Naqir, green glazed jars, and Muzaffat.
