Hadith 14248

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that we were on a journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). On our return, when we were about to enter the city, he said: "Wait! We will enter the city at night," that is, after Maghrib. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told them that when you enter the city at night, do so without prior notice, so that a woman whose husband was absent may remove unwanted hair from her body, and a disheveled woman may adorn herself.
