Hadith 14244

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْأَوْعِيَةِ " ، فَقَالَتْ : الْأَنْصَارُ فَلَا بُدَّ لَنَا ، قَالَ : " فَلَا إِذًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the use of various utensils, the Ansar said that we have no other option besides this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then no.
