Hadith 14230

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمْسِكُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ ، وَلَا تُعْمِرُوهَا ، فَإنْ أُعْمِرَ عُمْرَى ، فَهِيَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep your wealth with yourself, do not give it to anyone, and whoever gives something to someone for his lifetime, then it belongs to him."
