Hadith 14222

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ . ح وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ ، وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ ، وَطَعَامُ الْأَرْبَعَةِ يَكْفِي الثَّمَانِيَةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The food of one person is sufficient for two people, the food of two is sufficient for four, and the food of four is sufficient for eight people."
