It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the construction of the Ka'bah began, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) also started carrying stones. Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Take off your waistcloth and put it on your shoulder so that your shoulder does not get injured by the stones." When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) tried to do so, he fell unconscious and his gaze remained fixed towards the sky. Then when he regained consciousness, he said, "My waistcloth, my waistcloth," and he tied it firmly.
