(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : أَنّ " ثَمَانِينَ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ هَبَطُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ التَّنْعِيمِ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، فَأَخَذَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سِلْمًا ، فَعَفَا عَنْهُمْ ، وَنَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ : وَهُوَ الَّذِي كَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنْكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ بِبَطْنِ مَكَّةَ مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ أَظْفَرَكُمْ عَلَيْهِمْ سورة الفتح آية 24 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, eighty armed men from the direction of Mount Tan'eem advanced towards the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them). The Prophet (peace be upon him) captured them safely and forgave them. On this occasion, this verse was revealed: "And He it is Who withheld their hands from you."
