Hadith 14076

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَازِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ : " كَيْفَ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : كَانَ يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهُ مَدًّا " .
Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I once asked Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) about the manner of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) recitation, so he replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to prolong his voice.
