(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ رَأْسَهُ بِمِنًى ، أَخَذَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ شِقَّ رَأْسِهِ ، فَحَلَقَ الْحَجَّامُ ، فَجَاءَ بِهِ إِلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ ، وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ تَجْعَلُهُ فِي مِسْكِهَا ، وَكَانَ يَجِيءُ فَيَقِيلُ عِنْدَهَا عَلَى نِطْعٍ ، وَكَانَ مِعْرَاقًا ، فَجَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، فَجَعَلَتْ تَسْلُتُ الْعَرَقَ وَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي قَارُورَةٍ لَهَا ، فَاسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : مَا تَجْعَلِينَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ ؟ قَالَتْ : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ، عَرَقُكَ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَدُوفَ بِهِ طِيبِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to have his head shaved (on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage), Hazrat Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) took some hair from one part of his head in his hands, then those hairs were taken by Umm Sulaym, who would mix them in her perfume and shake it. Also, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to go to the house of Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) and rest on a leather bed, upon which he would sweat a lot. One day, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came, she began to collect his sweat in a bottle. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up and said, "O Umm Sulaym! What are you doing?" She replied, "O Messenger of Allah! I will mix your sweat in my perfume."
