(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، وَثَابِتٌ ، وَحُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : غَلَا السِّعْرُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، غَلَا السِّعْرُ ، سَعِّرْ لَنَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمُسَعِّرُ الْقَابِضُ الْبَاسِطُ الرَّزَّاقُ ، إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَلْقَى اللَّهَ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يَطْلُبُنِي بِمَظْلَمَةٍ فِي دَمٍ وَلَا مَالٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that once during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), prices increased, so the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) requested, "Please fix prices for us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The one who sets prices and determines rates is Allah alone. I wish that when I depart from you, none of you should have any claim against me regarding any injustice to his wealth or life."
