(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : سَأَلْتُ أَبِي عَنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : شَيْخٌ ثِقَةٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ يَعْنِي الْفَزَارِيَّ ، عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : بَعَثَتْنِي أُمِّي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ " قَائِمًا فِي يَدِهِ الْمِيسَمُ ، يَسِمُ الصَّدَقَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that my mother once sent me to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with something. When I arrived there, I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing and in his blessed hand was a branding iron with which he was branding the animals of charity.
