Hadith 13972

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الله ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الزُّهْرِيُّ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ ، وَيُسَمِّي وَيُكَبِّرُ ، وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَذْبَحُهُمَا بِيَدِهِ ، وَاضِعًا عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا قَدَمَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to offer two white, horned rams as sacrifice, and he would mention the name of Allah and say Takbeer. I saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would slaughter them with his own hand and would place his foot on their side.
