It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was very fond of bottle gourd (kaddu). Once, food was presented to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or someone invited him, so since I knew that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked bottle gourd, I would separate it and place it before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
