Hadith 13888

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْلَا أَنْ لَا تَدَافَنُوا ، لَدَعَوْتُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُسْمِعَكُمْ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you were not to stop burying your dead, I would have prayed to Allah that He make you hear the sound of the punishment of the grave.
