(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ . وَحَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي ، وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ ، فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ ، وَاعْفُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Ansar are my protection; people will continue to increase while the Ansar will decrease. Therefore, accept the good deeds of the Ansar and overlook and forgive their mistakes."
