Hadith 13864

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ " تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، قَالَ : فَجَازَ ذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf (may Allah be pleased with him) married an Ansari woman for a gold piece equal to a date stone, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it permissible.
