(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : " مَا أَعْرِفُ فِيكُمْ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا كُنْتُ أَعْهَدُهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، لَيْسَ قَوْلَكُمْ : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ ، الصَّلَاةَ ؟ قَالَ : قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ حِينَ تَغْرُبُ الشَّمْسُ ، أَفَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ صَلَاةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : فَقَالَ : عَلَى أَنِّي لَمْ أَرَ زَمَانًا خَيْرًا لِعَامِلٍ مِنْ زَمَانِكُمْ هَذَا ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ زَمَانًا مَعَ نَبِيٍّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the things I saw, today I do not see any of them except that you say "La ilaha illallah." The narrator says: I asked, O Abu Hamza! Do we not pray? He replied: You perform the Asr prayer at the time of sunset; was this the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? However, I have certainly not seen a better time for any doer of deeds than your present time, except if it were the time of the Prophet.
