It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that during the blessed era of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), there was once a drought. On a Friday, while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon, a Bedouin stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! The wealth is being destroyed and the children are hungry. Please pray to Allah to bless us with rain." Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hands and supplicated for rain. At the time when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his blessed hands, we could not see any clouds in the sky. Then clouds like mountains appeared, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had not even descended from the pulpit when we saw rainwater dripping from his blessed beard... Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith.
