(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا
يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ
أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْإِزَارُ إِلَى نِصْفِ السَّاقِ ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى شِدَّةَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى المسلمين ، قَالَ : إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ ، لَا خَيْرَ فِيمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The lower garment should be up to the middle of the shin. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that this was causing difficulty for the Muslims, he said: Make it up to the ankles; there is no good in letting it go below that.
