(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ أُمَّ أَيْمَنَ بَكَتْ حِينَ مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا : تَبْكِينَ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : " إِنِّي وَاللَّهِ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَيَمُوتُ ، وَلَكِنْ إِنَّمَا أَبْكِي عَلَى الْوَحْيِ الَّذِي انْقَطَعَ عَنَّا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that upon the death of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Hazrat Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) began to weep. Someone asked her, "Why are you weeping over the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" She replied, "I know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has departed from this world; I am weeping over the revelation that has ceased."
