Hadith 13586

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ ، وَعُقَيْلٍ ، وَيُونُسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، الْتَمَسَ مَعَهُ وَادِيًا آخَرَ ، وَلَنْ يَمْلَأَ فَمَهُ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ ، ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the son of Adam had two valleys full of gold, he would desire a third, and nothing fills the mouth of the son of Adam except the dust of the grave. And whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance.
