Hadith 13583

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، وَبَهْزٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، " أَنَّ رَجُلًا رُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ سَكِرَ ، فَأَمَرَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ عِشْرِينَ رَجُلًا ، فَجَلَدَهُ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ جَلْدَتَيْنِ بِالْجَرِيدِ وَالنِّعَالِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a man who was intoxicated was brought before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered about twenty men, and each of them struck him with two branches or shoes.
