Hadith 1354

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّةَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَيَّ ، قَالَ : " فَتَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا ، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ ، ثُمَّ شَرِبَ فَضْلَ وَضُوئِهِ " .
On one occasion, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that whoever wants to see the ablution of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) should look at me. Then he performed ablution, washing each limb three times, wiped his head, and drank the leftover water from the ablution.
