(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ الْمُؤْمِنِ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ السَّدُوسِيَّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَخْشَنُ السَّدُوسِيُّ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ أَوْ قَالَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، لَوْ أَخْطَأْتُمْ حَتَّى تَمْلَأَ خَطَايَاكُمْ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ، ثُمَّ اسْتَغْفَرْتُمْ اللَّهَ ، لَغَفَرَ لَكُمْ ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ أَوْ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، لَوْ لَمْ تُخْطِئُوا ، لَجَاءَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُخْطِئُونَ ، ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ ، فَيَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ " .
Akhshan Sudosi, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once I was present in the service of Hazrat Anas, may Allah be pleased with him. He said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if you commit so many sins that the entire space between the earth and the sky is filled with your sins, then you seek forgiveness from Allah, He will still forgive you. By Him in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, if you do not commit sins, Allah will bring a people who will commit sins, then seek forgiveness from Allah, and Allah will forgive them.
