Hadith 13476

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًَا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، أَحَبَّ أَنَّ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَادِيانِ ، وَلَنْ يَمْلَأْ فَاهُ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ ، وَاللَّهُ يَتُوبُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the son of Adam had two valleys full of gold, he would desire a third one, and nothing fills the mouth of the son of Adam except the dust of the grave. And whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance.
