(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : انْتَهَى إِلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا فِي غِلْمَانٍ ، فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدَيَّ ، فَأَرْسَلَنِي بِرِسَالَةٍ ، وَقَعَدَ فِي ظِلِّ جِدَارٍ أَوْ فِي جِدَارٍ حَتَّى رَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهِ ، فَلَمَّا أَتَيْتُ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ ، قَالَتْ : مَا حَبَسَكَ ؟ قَالَ : قُلْتُ : أَرْسَلَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرِسَالَةٍ ، قَالَتْ : وَمَا هِيَ ؟ قُلْتُ : إِنَّهَا سِرٌّ ، قَالَتْ : " احْفَظْ سِرَّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " ، فَمَا أَخْبَرْتُ بِهِ بَعْدُ أَحَدًا قَطُّ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was playing with children, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and greeted us, then he took my hand and sent me for some task, and he himself sat in the shade of a wall until I returned and delivered the message with which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had sent me. When I reached home, Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) (my mother) asked, "Why did you take so long?" I told her that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had sent me for some task. She asked, "What was the task?" I said, "It is a secret." She said, "Then protect the secret of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." Thus, after that, I never disclosed it to anyone.
