(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِقَالٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " عَسْقَلَانُ أَحَدُ الْعَرُوسَيْنِ ، يُبْعَثُ مِنْهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا لَا حِسَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَيُبْعَثُ مِنْهَا خَمْسُونَ أَلْفًا شُهَدَاءَ وُفُودًا إِلَى اللَّهِ ، وَبِهَا صُفُوفُ الشُّهَدَاءِ ، رُؤُوسُهُمْ مُقَطَّعَةٌ فِي أَيْدِيهِمْ ، تَثِجُّ أَوْدَاجُهُمْ دَمًا ، يَقُولُونَ : رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَنَا عَلَى رُسُلِكَ ، إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ ، فَيَقُولُ : صَدَقَ عَبِيدِي ، اغْسِلُوهُمْ بِنَهَرِ الْبَيْضِ ، فَيَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهُ نُقِيًّا بِيضًا ، فَيَسْرَحُونَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ شَاءُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The city of Asqalan is one of the brides of the cities. On the Day of Resurrection, seventy thousand people will rise from this city who will have no reckoning, and fifty thousand martyrs will be raised who will be the guests of Allah. There will be rows of martyrs here, whose severed heads will be in their hands and fresh blood will be flowing from their veins, and they will be saying: O Lord! Fulfill for us what You promised us through the tongues of Your Messengers; surely You do not break Your promise. Allah Almighty will say: My servants have spoken the truth; bathe them in the river Bayda. Thus, they will come out of this river clean, pure, and fair, and will roam and enjoy wherever they wish in Paradise.
