Hadith 13332

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ ، حَدَّثَنِي لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ قَالَ : حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : مُتَعَمِّدًا ، فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever deliberately attributes a false statement to me, he should make his abode in Hell.
