Hadith 13331

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، وَهَاشِمٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ حَيَّةٌ ، فَيَذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى الْعَوَالِي ، فَيَأْتِي الْعَوَالِيَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the Asr prayer at such a time that if someone wanted to go to Awali after the prayer, he would go and return, and still the sun would be high.
