Hadith 1333

(حديث موقوف) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، فَقَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ : " يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ وَفْدًا سورة مريم آية 85 ، قَالَ : لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا عَلَى أَرْجُلِهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ ، وَلَا يُحْشَرُ الْوَفْدُ عَلَى أَرْجُلِهِمْ ، وَلَكِنْ بِنُوقٍ لَمْ يَرَ الْخَلَائِقُ مِثْلَهَا ، عَلَيْهَا رَحَائِلُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَيَرْكَبُونَ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى يَضْرِبُوا أَبْوَابَ الْجَنَّةِ " .
Nu’man bin Sa’d says that once we were sitting with Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he recited this verse: «﴿يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ وَفْدًا﴾ [مريم : 85]» “The Day of Resurrection will be when We will gather the righteous before the Most Merciful as a delegation.” And he said: By Allah! They will not be gathered walking on their feet, rather, they will be mounted on such she-camels as no creature has ever seen before, with golden saddles on them, and they will ride upon them until they knock at the gates of Paradise.
