Hadith 13209

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had the best character among all people. I had a brother whose name was Abu Umair. It is also reported that he had been weaned. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would come, he would say to him, "Abu Umair! What happened to the Nughair?"—it was a bird with which he used to play. Sometimes, the time for prayer would come while he was at our house, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would clean the bedding beneath him and order water to be sprinkled on it, and then he would stand for prayer. We would stand behind him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would lead us in prayer. It should be noted that our bedding was made from palm branches.
