It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A person remains on goodness as long as he does not act hastily. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What is meant by hastiness?" He replied: That a servant begins to say, "I have prayed to my Lord so much, but He has not accepted my prayer."
