(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ عَلَى فُرْضَةٍ مِنْ فُرَضِ الْخَنْدَقِ ، فَقَالَ : " شَغَلُونَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى حَتَّى غَرَبَتْ الشَّمْسُ ، مَلَأَ اللَّهُ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ ، أَوْ بُطُونَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ نَارًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of the Trench, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting at one edge of the trench when he said: "May Allah fill their houses and graves with fire, for they did not let us perform the Asr prayer until the sun had set."
