Hadith 1288

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، أَنَّ عَاصِمَ بْنَ بَهْدَلَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ زِرًّا يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ : " شَغَلُونَا عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى ، حَتَّى آبَتِ الشَّمْسُ مَلَأَ اللَّهُ قُبُورَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ وَبُطُونَهُمْ نَارًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Uhud, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "May Allah fill their houses and graves with fire, for they did not let us perform the Asr prayer until the sun had set."
