(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا
شُعْبَةُ ،
وَحَجَّاجٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي
شُعْبَةُ ، سَمِعْتُ
قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ
أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ : كَانَ فَزَعٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ، فَاسْتَعَارَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَسًا لَنَا ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : مَنْدُوبٌ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ فَزَعٍ ، وَإِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا " ، قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ : يَعْنِي الْفَرَسَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once, during the night, the people of Madinah were alarmed due to fear of the enemy. The Prophet (peace be upon him) borrowed one of our horses, whose name was Mandub, and said, "There is nothing to worry about." Regarding the horse, he said, "We found it as swift as the sea."
