Hadith 12714

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، حدثنا حَمَّادٌ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، وَثَابِتٌ ، وَحُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ ، وَعُثْمَانَ ، كَانُوا يَسْتَفْتِحُونَ الْقُرْآنَ بِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 2 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that I have performed prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the three caliphs; these noble persons would begin the recitation in prayer with "Alhamdulillahi Rabbil 'Alamin."
