(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حدثنا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : خَرَجَ حِينَ زَاغَتْ الشَّمْسُ ، فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ، فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَامَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ ، فَذَكَرَ السَّاعَةَ ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا أُمُورًا عِظَامًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ فَلْيَسْأَلْ عَنْهُ ، فَوَاللَّهِ لَا تَسْأَلُونِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا أَخْبَرْتُكُمْ بِهِ مَا دُمْتُ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا " قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَأَكْثَرَ النَّاسُ الْبُكَاءَ حِينَ سَمِعُوا ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَكْثَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَقُولَ : " سَلُونِي " ، قَالَ أَنَسٌ : فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ : أَيْنَ مَدْخَلِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " النَّارُ " قَالَ : فَقَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حُذَافَةَ ، فَقَالَ : مَنْ أَبِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ " أَبُوكَ حُذَافَةُ " ، قَالَ : ثُمَّ أَكْثَرَ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَقُولَ : " سَلُونِي " قَالَ : فَبَرَكَ عُمَرُ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : رَضِينَا بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا ، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا ، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَسُولًا ، قَالَ : فَسَكَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ قَالَ عُمَرُ ذَلِكَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، لَقَدْ عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْجَنَّةُ وَالنَّارُ آنِفًا فِي عُرْضِ هَذَا الْحَائِطِ وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي ، فَلَمْ أَرَ كَالْيَوْمِ فِي الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out after midday, led the Zuhr prayer, and after saying salam, stood on the pulpit and mentioned the Day of Judgment: and also that before it, very important events will occur. Then he said, "Whoever wants to ask any question, let him ask. By Allah! Whatever you ask me about, as long as I am standing here, I will surely answer you." Upon hearing this, people began to weep and wail in abundance, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept repeating, "Ask me." So a man stood up and asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Where will I enter?" He replied, "In Hell." Abdullah bin Hudhafah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Who is my father?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, "Your father is Hudhafah." Upon this, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) knelt down and began to say, "We are pleased and content with Allah as our Lord, with Islam as our religion, and with Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) as our Prophet." Hearing this from Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became silent. After a short while, he said, "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, just now Paradise and Hell were presented before me in the width of this wall while I was praying. I have never seen a day of good and evil like today."
