(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اصْطَنَعَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ ، فَنَقَشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " لَا تَنْقُشُوا عَلَيْهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a ring made for himself and had engraved on it "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah," and said, "No person should have this inscription engraved on his ring."
