Hadith 12581

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، قال : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ ابْنِ سَوَادَةَ ، عَنْ أبي حمزة الْخَوْلَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ إِلَيْنَا ، فَقَالَ " إِنَّ فِيكُمْ خَيْرًا مِنْكُمْ يَعْنِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَتَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فِيكُمْ الْأَحْمَرُ وَالْأَبْيَضُ ، وَالْعَرَبِيُّ وَالْعَجَمِيُّ ، وَسَيَأْتِي زَمَانٌ يَقْرَءُونَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنَ ، يَتَثَقَّفُونَهُ كَمَا يَتَثَقَّفُ الْقَدَحُ ، يَتَعَجَّلُونَ أُجُورَهُمْ وَلَا يَتَأَجَّلُونَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and said: "There is a person among you (the Prophet himself is better than you) who is present while you are reciting the Book of Allah, and the red and white, Arabs and non-Arabs, all are present among you. Soon a time will come upon the people when they will rattle like utensils rattle; they will take their reward immediately and will not save anything for the Hereafter."
