(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ ، عَنْ وَفَاءٍ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نَقْرَأُ ، فِينَا الْعَرَبِيُّ ، وَالْعَجَمِيُّ ، وَالْأَسْوَدُ وَالْأَبْيَضُ ، إِذْ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَنْتُمْ فِي خَيْرٍ ، تَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ ، وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَيَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يُثَقِّفُونَهُ كَمَا يُثَِّقفُونَ الْقَدَحَ ، يَتَعَجَّلُونَ أُجُورَهُمْ وَلَا ، يَتَأَجَّلُونَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were reciting the Holy Qur'an. Among us were Arabs, non-Arabs, black and white people of all kinds. During this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and said, "You are upon goodness (and in the best of times) that you are reciting the Book of Allah and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is among you. Soon a time will come upon people when they will rattle like utensils rattle; they will take their reward immediately and will not keep anything for the Hereafter."
