It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Makkah Mukarramah with his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), he recited the Talbiyah for both Hajj and Umrah. After the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, he instructed them to make it Umrah and to come out of Ihram. However, it seemed that this matter appeared very significant to the people. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “If I had not brought the sacrificial animal, I too would have come out of Ihram.” Thus, those people became halal (came out of Ihram) and they performed Hajj Tamattu’.
