Hadith 12444

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عفان ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " هَذَا ابْنُ آدَمَ ، وَهَاهُنَا أَجَلُهُ ، وَثَمَّ أَمَلُهُ " , وَقَدَّمَ عَفَّانُ يَدَهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his fingers on the ground and said: "This is the son of Adam, this is his death, and these are his hopes."
