(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ مَرَّ رَجُلٌ ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ ، قَالَ : " هَلْ أَعْلَمْتَهُ ذَلِكَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : لَا ، قَالَ : " قُمْ فَأَعْلِمْهُ " ، قَالَ : فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا هَذَا ، وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأُحِبُّكَ فِي اللَّهِ ، قَالَ أَحَبَّكَ الَّذِي أَحْبَبْتَنِي لَهُ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I was sitting in the gathering of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man passed by. Someone among those sitting said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! I love this person." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Have you informed him of this?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then go and tell him." So that man stood up and went to him and said, "Brother! I love you for the sake of Allah." He replied, "May He for whose sake you love me, love you in return."
